The Woodstock-New Paltz Art & Crafts Fair returns for its 45th anniversary year, remaining one of the Hudson Valley’s most beloved biannual traditions.

This Labor Day weekend, the Woodstock–New Paltz Art & Crafts Fair returns to the Ulster County Fairgrounds for its 45th year, marking a milestone that few craft shows in the country can claim. What began in 1982 as a grassroots effort by two woodworker brothers has grown into one of the nation’s most respected contemporary craft fairs. Presented by Quail Hollow Events, the fair showcases hundreds of the country’s most creative small businesses, with a focus on handmade, original work that is carefully curated across over 10 media categories. More than just a shopping experience, the fair offers enriching features for all generations; visitors enjoy live music weekend-long and shoppers with young children can take advantage of the complimentary drop-off children’s tent. Still central to the show are its founding values: fine craftsmanship, human connection, and community.
